SEN

Special Educational Needs

A child has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability that makes it significantly harder for them to learn than most children of the same age, or if they have a disability that prevents or hinders them from using educational facilities. Having SEN does not automatically mean a child needs an EHCP — many children are supported effectively through SEN Support alone.
