Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal
The independent tribunal (also called SEND Tribunal or First-tier Tribunal SEND) where parents and young people can appeal against certain local authority decisions — including refusals to assess, refusals to issue an EHCP, and disagreements about the content of an EHCP. Appeals are free to bring. Legal representation is not required, though many families choose to use it.
